About the Rose Street Foundry

Cairngorm Taverns acquired 96 Academy Street in August 2013 and the first pint was pulled in 2019. Cairngorm Brewery restored this historically significant building to create a vibrant, year round, flagship bar/restaurant showcasing Cairngorm and Loch Ness Brewery brands alongside other Highland and Scottish food and drink producers. The history of 96 Academy Street has played such an important part in so many people's lives in Inverness. For generations since the late 1800's with the Rose Street Foundry and latterly with AI Welders it has been the training ground for tradesmen and craftsmen throughout the Highlands. The history is endless and projects like Operation Pluto to name just one are amazing tributes to the Highlands.

Our Bothy Bar is a spacious lively venue that always promises the best atmosphere, food and drink.
